JaneAusten.nl is onderhand wel een beetje uitgezombied en gemashed-up, maar blijkbaar is er nog steeds behoefte aan de combinatie van Jane Austens werk en het bovennatuurlijke. Daarom brengt uitgeverij Quirk deze maand de prequel van Pride and Prejudice and Zombies uit: Dawn of the Dreadfuls.

Het boek is geschreven door Steve Hockensmith, die – laten we eerlijk zijn – in ieder geval de moeite heeft genomen er een eigen boek van te maken in plaats van een bestaande klassieker aan te vullen met wat bloedige scenes.

Ik denk dat we het nu onderhand wel zo’n beetje gehad hebben.Één keer is (misschien nog wel )leuk…twee keer wordt al enigzins bedenkelijk.En al het andere…afvoeren in de kliko.Het is nu wel genoeg lijkt mij zo.
